One Year Ago In May – Thanks To Joe Vitale

Evolving Times has been around for over a year now. And that means that I can start pointing out some of the archived posts that you may have missed, but that are definitely worth a read.

May of 2006 was a slow month for ET with just one post. But it was a good one. (At least I think it was!)

It’s called, TIISG…or Thanks Dr. Joe, and it explores the idea that exactly what we need will show up in our lives at exactly the right time…provided we are open and willing to allow it in!

If you’re wondering, Dr. Joe, is Joe Vitale, author of The Attractor Factor: 5 Easy Steps for Creating Wealth (or Anything Else) from the Inside Out and featured on the movie The Secret.

Enjoy.

Law Of Attraction Carnival #17 – General Roundup

Well it’s been just one short week since the last Law of Attraction Carnival. Normally there are at least two weeks between each carnival, but my attendance at the Peak Potentials Train The Trainer Certification program delayed the last edition by one week.

This edition is another General Roundup. I really enjoy these roundups because I get to choose the featured entries from ALL of the submissions, not just the submissions that are on-topic for the edition. And it also gives me a chance to sit back a bit and allow the carnival to unfold in its own way without a lot of input from me.

So without adding any more input, let’s get to the carnival!

Featured Entries:

Let’s begin our featured entries section with this wonderful, inspirational entry from Shama Hyder who beautifully reminds us that The Secret is Surrender.

Aaron Potts at Today is That Day has a VERY interesting perspective on all the hoopla surrounding the Law of Attraction lately in his post The Death of the Law of Attraction. I highly recommend that you check it out!

Debra Moorhead goes On A Rampage to help us remember what to do when we find ourselves down near the bottom of the emotional scale.

Karen Lynch at Live the Power has an entry on Good Vibrations where she explains the concept of tuning your vibrational dial to the frequencies (desires) that you want to attract into your life.

And now for the best of the rest!

Dr. Hal at North Star Mental Fitness brings us The Power of Asking Questions and The Law of Attraction.

Christine Springer shares A Primer On The Law Of Attraction.

Susan Velez puts a new twist on the term Out Of The Blue in this entry.

Justine brings us God Doesn’t Say No by Bob Doyle from the Secret.

Richard Ingersoll presents Help I Want to Get Rid of My Girlfriend.

Joseph Bernard shares an inspiring story in this entry, When You Ask The Guidance Will Be There.

Andy Schmitt reminds us of the imporance of gratitude in our Law of Attraction work and offers a powerful gratitude resource in his entry, Gratitude Wristband.

Dave Olson gives us 6 Reasons To Have Generosity On Your Keychain.

And for a bit of counterpoint to these entries, Babak chimes in with The Real Law of Attraction: It’s Not What You Think.

That’s it for this edition of the Law of Attraction Carnival. I hope you’ve enjoyed these entries as much as I have!

You can peruse all the previous carnivals at the Law of Attraction homepage.

The next Law of Attraction Carnival will be published on May 8th. If you would like to submit an entry, please read the submission guidelines and then submit your entry at the Blog Carnival site.

Please Do Not Leave More Comments With Bob Proctors Exclusive Report

Just a quick note to commentators. Please do not leave any more comments with a link to Bob Proctor’s “exclusive” free report on the Secret. After about the 20th comment I began wondering just how exclusive this report could be!

Don’t get me wrong, I’m sure it’s a great report, I just choose for it not to be marketed from the ET comments.

Thanks.

The Show Must Go On – Law Of Attraction Live Back On Today

Things can change pretty quickly when you have a 3-year old. My daughter was sick yesterday and last night. She’s mostly better now, but not well enough to go to pre-school today. So my wife and I had to cancel our attendance at the Non-Violent Communication seminar with Marshall Rosenberg today.

Which means I will be available to host the Law of Attraction Live radio show this morning from 11:00 – 12:00 pacific time. And I would love to have you join me at www.blogtalkradio.com/evolvingtimes.

Because this is an unscheduled edition, I’m going to leave it open for Q&A and discussion about anything related to the Law of Attraction.

So to listen in live and call in to the show go to the Evolving Times host channel at Blogtalkradio.

I hope to hear you on the show!

A Great Week For Both – And

I realize we live in a world that’s filled with a lot of either/ors:  You can either be rich or spiritual. You can’t have your cake and eat it too. You can either be successful or have fun. You can either work or play.

So it’s always wonderful to see examples of Both/And.

This week, the juxtaposition of two seemingly contradictory events is, for me, a great example of the growing power of Both/And.

Today, and for the next three Thursdays, XM radio is broadcasting the meeting between Oprah, Esther and Jerry Hicks, AND the non-physical entity, Abraham, the “source” for many of the Law of Attraction teachings.

And tomorrow we’ll get to witness and take part in what is going to be one of the biggest online book launches ever with the release of Mark Joyner’s new book, Simpleology: The Simple Science of Getting What You Want.

On the one side we’re being encouraged to think, feel and vibrate our way into the manifestation of our desires. And on the other side we’re being encouraged to get our butts in gear and act our way into the creation of what we want.

And I find myself standing smack-dab in the middle saying “Yes!”

They don’t negate each other or cancel each other out. It’s BOTH/AND.

Go ahead and think, feel and vibrate your way into alignment with what you want, and then get your butt in gear and go out and make it happen!

The Secret And Simpleology: Mark Joyners Surprising Thoughts

When I first signed up for Mark Joyner’s Simpleology system almost two years ago I was at the peak of my Law of Attraction love-fest. So you can imagine my irritation when, in the first or second lesson of Simpleology 101, Mark pokes fun at some of the ideas in the Law of Attraction.

Yes, I have gotten over it! And since then, I’ve tempered my blind faith in the Law of Attraction as it is sometimes presented and fully embraced the place that Inspired Action holds within the deliberate creation process.

Now, as the movie The Secret has taken the Law of Attraction mainstream and Mark prepares to release his brand new book, Simpleology: The Simple Science of Getting What You Want, I’ve been curious about what Mark really thinks about the Law of Attraction. Last week I had the opportunity to ask him. And this is what he had to say:

Hey Ed, you asked me to write a note about the Law of Attraction. Many say I’m “not a fan” of it, but that’s not really exactly right. See, it’s not that I’m not a fan of it, it’s just that I can’t personally know whether or not my thoughts actually *attract* things to me.

Without question, if we focus on certain things we’ll definitely notice more of it. One explanation may be that the Reticular Activating System is filtering all of the information around us. Who knows … Maybe it doesn’t matter? Then again, maybe it does.

If we believe that our thoughts alone attract what we want, whether we act on those thoughts or not, then it would excuse us from taking any action ourselves. What then? Well, if it’s true that we don’t actually attract things to ourselves, but that our thoughts simply focus our actions, then the belief in pure LOA could be harmful. It’s also possible that we attract things to ourselves, but only to a certain extent.

What we can know for sure is that taking certain actions will certainly bring about certain results. Flipping the light switch in your house certainly turns on the lights. If you want to wear a pair of shoes, you slip them on – you don’t manifest them onto your feet.

So, I’m all about stacking the deck. Focusing on what you want, and following that thought with focused and planned action works. It works like crazy. So, what we teach at Simpleology doesn’t negate LOA – it can only supplement it and improve the results. More about this in my new hardback print book.

We’ve put a sample preview of 44 pages of the book for your readers to download for free. I look forward to hearing what your folks think about it!

Your friend, Mark
Mark Joyner

I have some thoughts on this, but before I jump in I want to hear from you.

What do you think of Mark’s take on the Law of Attraction?

If you already use Simpleology and the Law of Attraction, how do they work together for you?

If you have read the sample of the Simpleology book, let us know what you think.

And if you have not yet read it, go sign up for your free Simpleology account and download it now so you can let us know what you think.
