Grand Prize Confirmed For Vision Board Invitational

In case you missed the announcement last week, I’m hosting the 2008 Vision Board Invitational. And you’re invited!

All you have to do to participate is:

  • Create a vision board for 2008
  • Post it on your blog or a photo sharing site
  • Email me or leave a comment on the Vision Board Invitational post with a link to your board.

Grand Prize Confirmed!

And I’m thrilled to announce that I just confirmed the grand prize with Mark Joyner: It’s a complete Simpleology package including Simpleology 101: The Simple Science of Getting What You Want (this program is free, so go sign up now) Simpleology 102: the Simple Science of Money, Simpleology 103: the Simple Science of Personal Energy and you’ll also get access to the 7 Day Business Turnaround program!

There is no question that your Vision Board will be an effective reminder of your intentions. It will help you remember the reasons why you have set those intentions and will encourage you to stay in a positive feeling space about your intentions.

But you still need to take action in order to achieve these attentions and attain these visions. Simpleology is the program that will help you help you choose the most effective actions and keep you on track, on task and move you steadily forward towards your 2008 intentions.

In addition to the grand prize, three other participants will win a package worth over $40 that includes the inspirational anthology, Healing the Heart of the World and my CD, An Introduction to Brainwave Enhancement Technology for Personal Growth & Success.

Obviously you won’t all win a prize. But the true prize, and the real reason for completing your vision board by Monday, is the positive impact this will have on your life.

On Saturday I hosted the 2nd annual Vision Board special event at the drop in Law of Attraction group. 35 people spent the morning creating their vision boards and getting 2008 off to an amazing start.

That photo shows just a few of them with their completed boards.

Most of you will be creating your boards on your own so you won’t have the support, encouragement and facilitation that the folks at the live event had. And that’s one of the main reasons I launched this Vision Board event: I want to give you as much support, encouragement and incentive to complete your vision board as I possibly can.

And how about some inspiration? I know that when I see a great vision board it gets me inspired. So over the next few days, I’ll share some of the boards that were created on Saturday along with some tips and suggestions on how to create a truly powerful, effective vision board. Perhaps one of these will help light the creative spark in you so that you can complete your vision board by Monday, January 14th!

Here’s one to get you started:

Law of Attraction Carnival #25: 1-Year Of Attraction In Action

Welcome to the August 28th, 2007 edition of the Law of Attraction Blog Carnival, the longest running blog carnival devoted to the exploration of the Law of Attraction and its powerful applications in daily life.

This edition marks the official one-year anniversary of the Law of Attraction Blog Carnival, and to celebrate, we’re having a party!

There’s still one week left to go in the party. And there are some excellent prizes still up for grabs including the grand prizes! So go ahead and get your entries in now!

For this anniversary edition I chose the topic, “How Far Have We Come?” The intention was to look at both where we were 1-year ago and how the Law of Attraction has transformed our lives.

I’ll go ahead and start with just a couple of observations. I’ll leave the heavy lifting to the amazing authors who have contributed to this carnival.

One obvious area where the Law of Attraction has worked is with this blog. One year ago, in August 2006 I had a whopping 1017 unique visitors and a grand total of 8600 page views!

Fast forward one-year and as of today, there have been over 38,000 unique visitors to Evolving Times and nearly 150,000 page views for the month of August.

In the financial area, in the past 12-months my monthly business income has tripled. And more important, my monthly passive income has gone from $0 to over $1000.

And all of that has happened while working less! Yes, it’s taken work to become more productive. I’ve utilized some amazing tools including Simpleology, the Holosync Solution and recently I’ve begun incorporating many of the suggestions in the 4-Hour Work Week. And that productivity is exactly what I have been “asking” for this past year!

And, while all of that is great, the biggest change that the Law of Attraction has empowered in my life, and the one I am most thrilled about is a new, deeper level of connection with some truly awesome people.

Wolf has long been one of my power animals. And for most of my life I have embodied the “Lone Wolf” aspect. In the last year, I have set a very clear intention to connect deeply with positive, supportive, high-vibration people. And that intention has manifested in so many ways: Ways that I never could have imagined a year ago.

It feels great to be a part of the awesome “pack” that I have attracted!

I’ll be writing more about these changes in the next few weeks. But for now I want to turn it over to the the rest of the pack to share their observations and insights into the Law of Attraction.

But before we get to that, I want to offer you my deepest appreciation for being part of the community that has formed around Evolving Times and around this Law of Attraction Blog Carnival!

And now, onto the Carnival!

Featured Entries

For this edition, our featured entries are from the authors who wrote about the personal changes they have seen from the Law of Attraction.

Let’s begin with Aaron M. Potts at Today is that Day who gives us 1 Year of Health, Wealth, and Positivity Answer the Question - Does the Law of Attraction Work? Here’s a taste of what Aaron has to say:

…my life changed because in the 90 minutes that it took me to watch the movie [The Secret] and to learn about the Law of Attraction, I became aware. I realized with great torrents of emotion that I was far more in charge of my life than I had been giving myself credit for, or that I had been taking responsibility for, either.

Next, Lyman Reed at Creating a Better Life presents Choice and Blame (or Who Decides When I Get Off Of The Bus?). Lyman emphatically reminds us that, “Bring the Law of Attraction into it, and even those things that we would never choose consciously become choices.” As he has moved from blame to responsibility Lyman has experienced some pretty dramatic changes in his life!

Dean Lacono presents The Most Important Part of the Law Of Attraction (IMHO) posted at Law of Attraction for Beginners. Dean’s biggest Law of Attraction lessons have come in the area of appreciateion and gratitude. He says, “Since applying appreciation to my daily life, wonderful things have started to come into my life. I see the world with a whole new approach and with new eyes.”

Patricia Singleton at Spiritual Journey of a Lightworker shares how the Law of Attraction has been instrumental in her journey into self-love. In her post, The Secret—Loving Yourself, she says, “Now after reading The Secret, I know that loving myself is even more important if I want to manifest the world of my dreams.”

Jeannette Maw at the Law of Attraction Playground, gives us Conquering My Nemesis. Want to know what her nemesis is? Think canine. Think territory. Think “Bad dog!”

And finally, Jon at Jointhesecret gives us Law of Attraction - The secret to how it works for me. A big piece of the Law of Attraction is asking for, trusting and acting upon your guidance. If you’ve never seen a goldfish-shaped strawberry, be sure to read this post!

And that’s it for the Featured Entries. Remember, to be included in the featured entries section you must submit an entry that specifically addresses the topic for that edition.

Now on to the Best of the Rest.

The next edition will be published on Tuesday, September 11th. And since we know that there are no coincidences, let’s devote that edition to an exploration of:

how the Law of Attraction works in relation to large-scale world events, including natural and man-made disasters.

Yes, it’s a difficult subject, but we’re here on the Leading Edge of Thought because we’re willing to explore those difficult subjects. So let’s see what we can come up with!

Law of Attraction Carnival #24: General Roundup

Welcome to the August 14th, 2007 edition of the Law of Attraction Blog Carnival, the longest running blog carnival devoted to the exploration of the Law of Attraction and its powerful applications in daily life.

As you may already know, August marks the one-year anniversary of the Law of Attraction Blog Carnival, and to celebrate, we’re having a party!

Throughout the month of August, I’ll be doing some interviews on the Law of Attraction with experts to help you put the Law of Attraction into action in your life and create real success!

And, if you haven’t already done so, make sure you enter to win one of the amazing prizes that are being given away throughout the month.

And now, onto the Carnival!

This edition of the Law of Attraction Blog Carnival will be another General Roundup of insights, stories, tools, and techniques related to the Law of Attraction.

For this edition it was no easy task choosing the featured entries. It seems that with every edition, the quality of the entries gets better! And that is great.

So let’s jump right in and begin with those featured entries. But don’t stop there. You’ll find a wealth of great material in all of these entries!

Featured Entries

Let’s start with a great entry from Aaron M. Potts on 10 Things you Can’t do with the Law of Attraction. This is a must read for anyone that might be thinking that the Law of Attraction makes everything possible. Sorry! At least not at this point in our personal and planetary evolution. This one’s posted at Today is that Day.

Next up is Mark McManus at Build Your Life To Order ™, who gives us If the Law of Attraction is True, Why was Jesus Crucified? This is a truly insightful and very dense article. Give yourself some time to read it and contemplate the ideas.

Next, Scott Lee at Scott Free Thinking shares his thoughts on how to Design Your Life, Like a Paint Brush. I particularly enjoyed reading his list of the 7 Hermetic Principles and seeing where they align with the Law of Attraction.

Leave it to Raymond David Salas to bring the New York Yankees and Boston Red Sox (I don’t think he knew that I grew up near Boston) into his exploration of the Law of Attraction in his entry, Does The Law of Attraction Really Work? It’s posted over at ZenChill.com Power Tools Blog.

Nneka at Balanced Life Center, opens up an interesting conversation with her post, The Secret Remixed: How Does The Law of Attraction Work? Why do some of the things we desire manifest while others don’t? And why do some of the things that manifest in our life have a clear connetion to a thought while others don’t? Good questions to ponder, even if the answers aren’t immediately obvious.

And finally, a new contributor to the carnival, Chris614 at The Philosophy of Change.com gives us Bart Simpson Hates Writing Affirmations. This entry provides some truly helpful ideas - based on his personal experience - about how to effectively use affirmations.

That’s it for this edition’s Featured Entries. Remember, to be eligible for the featured entry section, submit your best articles, make sure they are focused on the topic (if there is a specific topic) and provide a link back to the carnival.

From Concept To Practice: The Law of Attraction In Relationships

If you haven’t already figured it out, relationships provide some of the most profound opportunities for applying the Law of Attraction. And while all relationships are good for this, intimate relationships are the best!

On Saturday, my wife and I had an opportunity to experience this and take the Law of Attraction far beyond the conceptual stage and put it into practice.

Two hours into our lunchtime date, we found ourselves sitting on the front porch of my office in silence, each of us stewing in the stirred up murkiness of old emotional traumas that clouded our perceptions of the present moment. In our short time together we had each been through at least two cycles of getting triggered and slowly finding our way back to center from that triggered space.

Have you ever had a date – or a day – like that when all of your “stuff” seems to be right on the surface and as much as you want to stay positive and loving, you find yourselves spiraling down, resisting your connection with your partner (and ultimately with your own Source-connected self) putting up defenses and denying the love?

It’s not fun!

But it does provide an unsurpassed opportunity for stepping more fully into the world of deliberate creation.

So there we were, sitting in silence, staring across the street, waiting for something to shift.

In our relationship, when we are both in our “stuff,” we’re pretty good at taking turns coming out of it and creating a space for shift. In this case it was Melissa who shifted herself enough to begin creating the space for a shift in me and in our connection.

She started to speak. “You know I just heard something in a class I took this morning from this great Law of Attraction teacher.” (Earlier that morning Melissa had attended my regular, first-Saturday-of-the-month drop in Law of Attraction group). “This teacher said that in every moment we have three choices.”

I knew exactly where she was going and, even though I was still not looking at her, I could sense her somewhat mischievous grin as she went on.

“He said that, as Deliberate Creators, in each moment we can choose to feel worse and move further down the emotional/vibrational scale. We can choose to stay exactly where we are, maintain the status quo and, in essence, stagnate.”

That one hurt, since that was exactly what I was doing. I wasn’t moving up or down the emotional/vibrational scale. I was stuck. So I listened as Melissa continued.

“Or, this teacher said, we can choose to feel better, to move up the emotional scale, even if it’s just a little bit.”

So here I was being confronted with the very words I had used to describe the powerful process of Deliberate Creation just a few hours earlier.

Unbidden, the sarcastic saying I used to hear in high school came floating into my mind:

Those who can, do. Those who can’t, teach. Those who can’t teach, teach gym.

Was it time for me to hang up my “Law of Attraction Trainer” credentials and find a job teaching gym?

Being a teacher is easy. It does not take much skill or even that much knowledge to stand in front of a room and provide them with some information.

It is far more difficult to be a great teacher. For the best teachings do much more than provide information. The greatest teachers inspire people to live into a bigger version of their lives.

To be such a teacher requires you to live your life in alignment with the words that you are speaking. The best teachers always “walk their talk.” They teach from their lives knowing that they may stumble and even fall along the way.

This type of teaching is not always easy. (Believe me!) And yet my intention is to be a great teacher of the Law of Attraction. So the way that I choose to teach this work is to live it and to accept that the times when I stumble and fall are opportunities to translate my understanding of the concepts into practice. I choose to have my life be an uncompromising example of the Law of Attraction in Action.

Do I always get it “right?” Of course not. Which is good. Because there is no “right.” Every experience is an opportunity to understand the Law of Attraction more deeply.

So on Saturday morning, having my stuckness and stagnation pointed out to me was a good thing – even though it didn’t feel too great in that moment. I got to observe it, feel it, and experience it. I was provided with the opportunity to know that I was choosing to be stuck. I was creating that experience. No one else was creating that experience of stuckness for me. Melissa wasn’t doing it. My parents weren’t doing it. None of my past girlfriends were doing it. I was doing it all myself!

And, in that moment, I got to choose whether or not I wanted to remain in that stuck, stagnant place.

I turned to Melissa, and even though, in my mind, I was still not convinced which way I was going to go, that turn towards her was movement. Choosing to look at her was a small, but significant movement up the scale.

And when I saw the look on her face, a look of childlike playfulness that said, “come on, get over it so that we can go play and have fun,” I felt myself opening. I felt myself moving further up the emotional/vibrational scale and allowing my connection with Melissa and my connection with Source to blossom once more. And I found myself awakening, once again to the possibility of playing and having fun on the rest of our date!

And so we did!

One Year Ago In May - Thanks To Joe Vitale

Evolving Times has been around for over a year now. And that means that I can start pointing out some of the archived posts that you may have missed, but that are definitely worth a read.

May of 2006 was a slow month for ET with just one post. But it was a good one. (At least I think it was!)

It’s called, TIISG…or Thanks Dr. Joe, and it explores the idea that exactly what we need will show up in our lives at exactly the right time…provided we are open and willing to allow it in!

If you’re wondering, Dr. Joe, is Joe Vitale, author of The Attractor Factor: 5 Easy Steps for Creating Wealth (or Anything Else) from the Inside Out and featured on the movie The Secret.

Enjoy.

Law Of Attraction Carnival #17 - General Roundup

Well it’s been just one short week since the last Law of Attraction Carnival. Normally there are at least two weeks between each carnival, but my attendance at the Peak Potentials Train The Trainer Certification program delayed the last edition by one week.

This edition is another General Roundup. I really enjoy these roundups because I get to choose the featured entries from ALL of the submissions, not just the submissions that are on-topic for the edition. And it also gives me a chance to sit back a bit and allow the carnival to unfold in its own way without a lot of input from me.

So without adding any more input, let’s get to the carnival!

Featured Entries:

Let’s begin our featured entries section with this wonderful, inspirational entry from Shama Hyder who beautifully reminds us that The Secret is Surrender.

Aaron Potts at Today is That Day has a VERY interesting perspective on all the hoopla surrounding the Law of Attraction lately in his post The Death of the Law of Attraction. I highly recommend that you check it out!

Debra Moorhead goes On A Rampage to help us remember what to do when we find ourselves down near the bottom of the emotional scale.

Karen Lynch at Live the Power has an entry on Good Vibrations where she explains the concept of tuning your vibrational dial to the frequencies (desires) that you want to attract into your life.

And now for the best of the rest!

Dr. Hal at North Star Mental Fitness brings us The Power of Asking Questions and The Law of Attraction.

Christine Springer shares A Primer On The Law Of Attraction.

Susan Velez puts a new twist on the term Out Of The Blue in this entry.

Justine brings us God Doesn’t Say No by Bob Doyle from the Secret.

Richard Ingersoll presents Help I Want to Get Rid of My Girlfriend.

Joseph Bernard shares an inspiring story in this entry, When You Ask The Guidance Will Be There.

Andy Schmitt reminds us of the imporance of gratitude in our Law of Attraction work and offers a powerful gratitude resource in his entry, Gratitude Wristband.

Dave Olson gives us 6 Reasons To Have Generosity On Your Keychain.

And for a bit of counterpoint to these entries, Babak chimes in with The Real Law of Attraction: It’s Not What You Think.

That’s it for this edition of the Law of Attraction Carnival. I hope you’ve enjoyed these entries as much as I have!

You can peruse all the previous carnivals at the Law of Attraction homepage.

The next Law of Attraction Carnival will be published on May 8th. If you would like to submit an entry, please read the submission guidelines and then submit your entry at the Blog Carnival site.

Law Of Attraction Carnival #16: Money

Welcome to the April 10, 2007 edition of law of attraction. Yes, it’s a week late but I think you’ll see that it’s been well worth the wait!

The topic of this edition is The Law of Attraction and Money. This seems to be one of those areas that almost always comes up when people talk about the Law of Attraction. It’s certainly one of the Big Three!

Surprisingly, we had only four entries on the topic of money. That’s probably as much my fault for not promoting the topic as clearly as I might have.

Instead of getting into my thoughts on the Law of Attraction and Money, which I’ll have plenty of time and space to do in other entries, I’ll let the carnival entries speak for themselves. Which they do very well!

Featured Entries on Law of Attraction & Money

Let’s begin with Raymond David Salas who covers a wide range of money related issues in his entry How to Attract Money Into Your Life posted at ZenChill.com Power Tools Blog.

Anastasia Kile presents It’s Time to be Rich! posted at Beyond Manifesting by Anastasia Kile. Anastasia asks if we’re ready to be rich. No, REALLY ready! Are you? Go find out.

Gia Combs Ramirez presents The Metaphysics of Money posted at The Science of Energy Healing. You may have heard the phrase that money is energy. Well this entry takes a very clear and helpful look at that concept.

Belle Wong presents Beyond Debt Reduction: The Columnar Pad Method, Expanded posted at Abundance Journal. This is a more in-depth look at the seemingly counter-intuitive (or would that be counter-analytical?) debt reduction method prescribed by Abraham-Hicks. (Raymond explores this in his entry as well).

Featured Off-topic entries

(These are entries that I really enjoyed, but are not on this issue’s topic).

Shama Hyder presents What we can learn from Winnie the Pooh and his Friends about the Law of Attraction posted at SHAMA HYDER. com. This is a great entry. Of course my perspective may be skewed by the fact that I’m watching Winnie the Pooh movies a couple of times a week with my daughter!

Nneka presents The Secret Remixed: It’s Not About The Stuff! posted at Balanced Life Center. I’ve been telling people “It’s not about the stuff” for years. So reading Nneka’s entry was a great reminder and reinforcement of this important but sometimes overlooked aspect of the Law of Attraction.

Robert Hunt presents The Seven Principles Of Hawaiian Huna posted at MySelfDevelopment.net. I’ve heard a lot about Huna and the overlap with Law of Attraction. This entry gives a clear, concise overview of Huna. And you can really see the connections.

Walks The Edge presents Five Priceless Pay-offs from Reading The Secret posted at walkstheedge.com.

And here are the best of the rest!

lornadoone presents The Law of Attraction: Creating a Vision Board posted at Something Good.

Debra Moorhead presents “The Science of Getting Rich” Evaluated, Part One posted at Debra Moorhead.com.

Zantariah presents Wealth Beyond Reason posted at Zantariah.

Andy Schmitt presents TheDailyPositive.com | The Law of Attraction Experiment posted at TheDailyPositive.com.

John presents Why Does The Law Of Attraction Work? posted at OhCash.com.

David Richeson presents 7 Facts You Need to Know Before Using ‘The Secret’ Law of Attraction posted at 360 Degree Success.

Jesper Knutsson presents A look on the Law of attraction posted at InsiderWeblog.com, saying,

Alan Torres presents Faith and The Law of Attraction posted at Made to Be Great.

Sam presents The Secret, the Best-Selling Book and DVD posted at Surfer Sam and Friends.

bdurfee presents It’s Not Just Attraction, It’s the Law posted at Thinking-Rich.com.

That’s it for this edition of the Law of Attraction Carnival. I sure hope you’ve enjoyed it as much as I have!

If you’ve enjoyed this edition, you can view all of the archived editions, going back to August, at the Law of Attraction Homepage.

Next week, yes just one, short week before our next edition, we’ll be doing another General Roundup of Law of Attraction entries. I’ll be picking 4-5 entries for the featured entries section based on quality, originality, and your ability to read and follow the submission guidelines posted on the Law of Attraction homepage. (For example, if you consistently link back to the carnival, there is a much greater chance that your entry will find it’s way to the featured entry section, however, if you submit more than one entry to a carnival edition it is very unlikely that any of your entries will make it to the featured entry section).

After you have read the submission guidelines you can submit your blog article to the next edition of The Law of Attraction Carnival using our carnival submission form.

The Show Must Go On - Law Of Attraction Live Back On Today

Things can change pretty quickly when you have a 3-year old. My daughter was sick yesterday and last night. She’s mostly better now, but not well enough to go to pre-school today. So my wife and I had to cancel our attendance at the Non-Violent Communication seminar with Marshall Rosenberg today.

Which means I will be available to host the Law of Attraction Live radio show this morning from 11:00 - 12:00 pacific time. And I would love to have you join me at www.blogtalkradio.com/evolvingtimes.

Because this is an unscheduled edition, I’m going to leave it open for Q&A and discussion about anything related to the Law of Attraction.

So to listen in live and call in to the show go to the Evolving Times host channel at Blogtalkradio.

I hope to hear you on the show!
