I just got an email from the Zaadz/Gaia folks. They’re promoting a new book by Brent Kessel, It’s Not About the Money: Unlock Your Money Type to Achieve Spiritual and Financial Abundance.

Looks like a very cool book. I’m going to order it.

There’s a quick quiz you can take to determine your money archetype. The information I received from the quiz was right on and very helpful.

I just finished Brent’s book and have taken the archetype quiz. Interesting that he doesn’t provide the results unless you provide contact information.

The application of archetypes to money isn’t new — it was introduced in 2000 by Deborah L. Price in her book “Money Therapy”, now titled “Money Magic”. She also has a Money Type Quiz on her website, which is http://www.Money-Therapy.com.

The two sets of archetypes are similar, though Deborah’s seems to be more grounded in psychological aspects while Brent’s seems to be more grounded in financial and investing aspects, but both agree that when a certain archetype is active, someone is “running the show” more out of habit than out of reason.

I stumbled upon your post when searching for Money Archtypes.
Very interesting. I plan to spend more time exploring soon.
